Handling UTC Dates

Dates in sharepoint are stored in UTC. As SQL Server does not provide functions to automatically adjust time to local timezones taking into account daylight saving time changes, the transformation has to be done by the client
application. BPC SQL Query Builder provides an easy way to accomplish by calling an custom external .NET assembly. In order for this option to work, you should do the following:

1)     Download the UTC to local function registration tool from http://www.bpc-components.com/Files/SqlQueryBuilder/BPC.SQLUTCTool.zip

2)     Unzip it and run the executable (BPC.SQLUTCTool.exe) locally to your Sharepoint
Database Server.

That’s it!
Now, checking “Auto-transform UTC Dates” option will display all resultset
dates in your local time zone.
